I am currently a member of The BEE Team and this is a challenge that I have taken on for this month:
If you are hungry for a creative challenge, enjoy art projects, photography, writing and are ready to do some fun, gentle exploring, please come and join us for six weeks of creativity, self-discovery, new friendships, play and global connection.
All you will need are a few art supplies, a camera, a journal and a willingness to be fully present, to play and explore.
In the first week we will start off with guidelines and introductions. We will get to know our new fellow classmates, see each other’s artwork, photography and support one another through this process. Workshop participants are located all over the world so we are all contributing to creating a new global community.
Each week we will start by doing some simple, warm up exercises to get the creative juices flowing and to reconnect with our creative selves. Then we’ll explore where we’ve been and where we want to go next through writing exercises, photography and art projects.
Vivid Life Workshops are taught by Kari J Young – Artist, Creative Life Coach and Workshop Facilitator.
“My hope is that, through these workshops, I can share some of what I’ve learned with you and help you to reconnect with your truest, creative self.”
“Let’s play and have some creative fun together… I can’t wait!!”
Here are a few images of a new series I’ve been working on. These are line drawings incised with an awl and filled in like a stain with oil paints. I will continue with this series in the next couple of weeks (after the holidays have blown over!).
This series is the answer to my question, “How do I get my line drawings that I’ve been sketching in my little sketchbook, into my encaustic paintings?” These are what came from that pondering…
